Horndean Technology College students have achieved outstanding results today with 71% of students achieving the gold threshold standard of 5 A*-C grades including English (Lang/Lit) and Maths. 79% of students achieved 5 A*-C grades. This result is a fantastic achievement and shows that students and staff have worked hard and are continually maintaining high standards, ensuring that progress made in English and Maths is better than good as well as a range of other subjects including Science, the Arts, Languages, Humanities, Sport, ICT & Technology.
The broad and balanced curriculum at HTC meets the needs of students and ensures they make better than expected progress and attainment. 81% of students achieved an A* – C in Maths and 76% of students achieved an A* – C in English. A and A* results were also of a high standard – exceeding targets set.
Horndean Technology College has been one of the highest performing comprehensive schools in the area for three years running, ensuring our students make great progress. The outstanding result of 71% of students achieving the gold threshold standard of 5 A*-C grades including English (Lang/Lit) and Maths is a 7% increase on last year’s result of 64%.
