Headteacher’s Letter

2 October 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

This letter contains information and links related to the most recent information on COVID-19 and our ASD provision.

COVID
A reminder that students are required to wear a face covering on the College bus and any public transport. Further information can be found at www.gov.uk/government/publications.

The ‘Hands. Face. Space.’ campaign urges everyone to continue to wash their hands, cover their face and make space to control infection rates. The NHS has released a ‘Hands. Face. Space.’ video that communicates directly to children and young people the importance of wearing a face covering on transport. We will be promoting this campaign with the students.

Previous letters sent to parents contain further information on the virus:
16 September – Testing for the virus – advice received from the Medical Director and Director of Health Protection, Public Health England.
23 September – NHS Test and Trace

These letters are posted on the HTC website and Firefly for your reference in addition to being circulated to all parents. Please ensure that the College has your most up to date email address. We will continue to send out important information regarding the advice we receive from government and any arrangements we make as a result.

ASD Provision
Please find via the link below the Public Notice regarding the proposed increase of the Agreed Pupil Number (APN) at Horndean Technology College’s Resourced Provision.

It is proposed to increase the APN of the Resourced Provision by adding two places. This will give an updated APN for the College of 17 pupils from 1 January 2021.
