30 September 2020
We have now completed two cycles of the College timetable. We are always reviewing the systems in place to ensure that we can provide the broad and balanced curriculum in a safe and realistic environment as advised by the Government.
We have in particular looked at the staggered start to the College day that has resulted in a later finish time for Year 10 and Year 11 students some of whom are unable to access the College bus at the end of the day. Year 10 have also experienced 3/4 lessons in a row which has been demanding for the students. We are also conscious of the days becoming shorter and the importance of students’ safety and being able to travel when it is lighter.
All Year Groups will have a staggered entrance to the College but with the same start to the College day with all students arriving for an 8.25am start. Arrival to College has always been gradual and this allows for sufficient social distancing. All students are expected to arrive before 8.25am and go to the allocated Year learning zone as follows:
Year 11 to enter via the back gate and go straight up past the car parks to enter their area via the path that goes around the back of G Block. Year 11 should wait on the elevated area outside of S Block.
Year 7 to enter via the back gate and go straight up past the car parks to enter their area via the walkway between M and G Block. Year 7 should wait outside the front of G Block in the main quad area. Tutors will indicate how students can get to the back gate.
Year 9 to enter via the back gate and go immediately into X Block and through the Restaurant to their area at the front of X Block. Year 9 should wait outside the front of X Block in the quad area.
Year 10 to enter via the left hand front gate and go in front of SF Block to wait outside of D Block. Year 10 should wait outside the front of D Block in the quad area.
Year 8 to enter via the right hand front gate and wait outside of Barton Hall near the back doors.
Bike sheds are available at both gates.
End of the College Day. Students will be dismissed at the following times via the gates that they used in the morning.

||Tuesday and Friday
|Year 7 (back gate)
|Year 8 (front gate)
|Year 9 (back gate)
